Abstract

In the present study an anonymous questionnaire based survey was conducted to understand the opinions of the undergraduate students and the teachers on the credit based semester and grading system. A total of 300 students and 400 teachers of senior colleges affiliated to the Mumbai University responded to this survey. The paper puts forth the opinions of the students and teachers and discusses the possible correlation of their responses. Since teachers and most students feel that the CBSGS should be modified before implementation, possible reconsiderations on few aspects are also suggested based on the responses from students and teachers.
