INFANT SURVIVAL RATE AND IMMUNLZATION PROGRAME IN MADHYA PRADESH

Abstract


Better health is desirable as and in it self. But it also brings substantial economic benefits - releasing resources that can then be used to t achieve other development goals. Health and nutrition also have long run effects on -productivity and output because they influence a child  ability and  motivation to learn. Disease and malnutrition in infancy may retard mental development and illness and temporary hungere may reduce Children ability  to concentrate and keep them away from school; in this view, children  constitute the most important asset of any nation. The health of the children is an investment for the nation better future, Hence, this paper aims to study the infant survival rate in Tamil Nadu. The objective of this study are : l. To find out the change in the infant mortality rates, 2. To analyze the affecting the infant mortality rates, and 3. To identify the most significant factors among them.
