Nutritional Intake in Seoni- Chhindwara Plateau (MP) : A Study in Health Geography

Abstract


Study area Seoni- Chhindwara Plateau is situated in the Satpura range and are south - eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh. An attempt has been made in this paper to present a systematic and interpretative analysis of Nutritional status in terms of the nutritive value of different food constituents. The qualitative aspects of the availability of the nutrition have been considered. The qualitative food consumption primarily depends upon the availability of fruits. Green vegetables, milk, fats, fresh foods and secondarily upon cereals and pulses in this region the availability of green vegetables, fruits and flash foods is almost negligible.
